Alice C. Richmond, MA, LPC

Alice graduated from the University of Colorado with a Masters Degree in Counseling & Human Services. Her key areas of clinical focus are complex and/or developmental trauma, co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions, and non-pharmacological approaches to living with chronic pain or illness. She views mental health, trauma, addiction, and recovery through a simple lens: everything a human being does serves a sacred purpose – it meets one, or more, needs. Through the application of curiosity, appreciation, respect, and creativity, we can build deeper understanding of ourselves and our needs. This insight promotes self-awareness and, in combination with an effective set of customized daily practices, expands our capacity to respond to ourselves, to others, and to life events healthfully and authentically. Thus empowered, we can choose to live in a state of rich engagement, inhabiting a life that satisfies and sustains us—as individuals, and within our communities.

In addition, Alice identifies as a queer female with she/her pronouns. She has extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community to address a wide range of concerns related to relationships, sexual identity, gender identity, gender-affirming transition, coming out, relationships, and collective trauma.
