Kathie Gillet, PhD
Executive Director
Dr. Kathie Gillet has been affiliated with Wisdom Traditions since 2010, helping to launch our extensive outpatient programs, assisting us with international accreditation, and helping us increase community access to services through Medicaid. Kathie guides our professional team development, by sharing the knowledge gained from working nation-wide with multiple providers and being at the leading edge of Integrated Care Models. Kathie serves as Wisdom’s Executive Director, which allows her to share her experience and expertise in the field and ensure that Wisdom continues being an organization that is mission-driven and provides culturally relevant services for our Alaska communities.
Her formal education is in Depth Psychology, Behavioral Health Sciences, Human and Organizational Development, Social Justice and Transformational Learning. She is recognized for directing multiple resources to work as a unified team and impacting positive organizational change. Kathie’s mission is living a life of sacred service, participating simultaneously as a teacher and a life learner. Her knowing is awakened through experience. Kathie’s work encompasses embodied learning, critical empathy, cultural leadership and the relationships between mental health, addiction recovery, and healing from trauma. Her work honors the wisdom of cross-cultural traditions, building inclusive environments, and the power of community to heal.
